Description
Tidalis AIS Network Management is a fully web-based platform for competent authorities tasked with operating and maintaining professional AIS networks that provide safety features through two-way communication. Unlike simple AIS listening or data subscription services, the platform provides the full functionality required by national maritime authorities: remote configuration and management of base stations, control of ship transponder behaviour in assigned mode, reconciliation of duplicate receptions from multiple base stations, distribution of safety-related messages, two-way messaging via AIS mail, and support for Search and Rescue Transponders (SART) and Virtual Aids to Navigation (AtoNs). The system scales from a single base station to a national-level network and exposes an API for seamless integration with MaritimeControl VTS and PortControl PMIS systems. Tidalis fully supports VDES (VHF Data Exchange System), the next-generation evolution of AIS that provides greater capacity and functionality, ensuring the platform is ready for the direction the industry is heading. No additional apps are required as the solution is entirely web-based.
